We have been blessed to be able to start Budiman Food to provide a high quality authentic Indonesian style Tempeh and Noodle.
Ben's mother was born and raise in Malang. A small town in East Java, close to Surabaya. Malang is famous for her tempeh. The cool climate of Malang allows the tempeh culture to grow denser, making the tempeh firm and aromatic.
At Budiman Food, we use dehulled-split non-GMO soybeans and certified organic soybeans. Organic soybeans are smaller, irregular, and a bit more expensive; but it offer richer taste. We incubate our tempeh at a lower temperature to mimic the cool climate of Malang.
